  • Heavy cream: 1 quart 
  • Granulated sugar: 1 cup, divided
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon 
  • 8 large egg yolks
  • Raspberries: 2 cups, for garnish (optional)

Instruction for Ruth Chris Creme Brulee Recipe

  1. Set the oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Mix the cream, ½ cup sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Simmer the mixture in medium heat and stir finely until boiling.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine egg yolks and the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and whisk well.
  4. Add the egg york mixture into the cream mixture and continue stirring while boiling.
  5. Use a strainer to strain the mixture and pour it into a baking dish.
  6. Put the baking dish into the oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the custard turns golden brown.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. 
  8. Decorate with raspberries, strawberries, or some tiny fruit you like on the top of the cake when you are ready to serve your guests.
